How do you manage security?

Answer

We manage security at different levels:

1. Data integrity – no data is stored on your local computer. If your computer crashes or is stolen, your medical records are not lost, or worse, compromised to someone. Our servers are in a corporate datacenter. This means that the environment is secure and protected from power and Internet outages. Your medical records are backed up daily (automatically) and offsite backups are done on a routine basis. This means you do not have to manage your backups on your own or pay for the service.

2. User level access. Your office manager may not need to access chart notes, just as your providers may not need to access financial information and management reporting functionalities should obviously be reserved for management. ClinicServer allows users to define their own levels of access so the right people have access to the right information.

3. While your information is being sent and received it is encrypted using SSL encryption.

Are there limits on locations, practitioners, patients, rooms or resources?
